Singapore River Festival starts this weekend!

That’s right… tell all your friends about it! The Singapore River Festival starts 19 June till 27 June ’09 🙂 It’s simply not to be missed – you may have already heard about it today on Class 95 when the radio DJs were talking about it. During the popular Morning Express segment, the Flying Dutchman, Glenn Ong & Vernetta Lopez shared about our record breaking feat which will take place at Central.

The Impossible Record by J C Sum & ‘Magic Babe’ Ning (yours truly) is the closing highlight on the final evening of the Singapore Tourism Board‘s fantastic 10-day long festival. So don’t miss this one-off spectacular happening at Central Promenade on 27 June, 9pm!

Thus far, no one in our country’s history has yet gotten a magic record of any kind so we’re going to be the first. More importantly, we want to put Singapore on the world map with this successful attempt of 15 illusions in 5 minutes… which translates to about 20 seconds per illusion. Yeahhhhhhhhh… what can I say. We’re Singaporeans, we’re ambitious 😉

The current magic record that is quite similiar is an unofficial one by Dutch illusionist, Hans Klok, who cleared 10 illusions in 5 minutes for a TV show. The professional is truly an inspiration who takes so much pride in his craft, so I really respect the guy. He’s a real veteran not because of his age or the number of illusions he owns, but by sheer credibility of his milestones and track record.

Don’t forget, this weekend sees yours truly doing a wicked little teaser for our main event – which I hope you guys can come by and show me some love, support & encouragement for *grin*

Click on the posters below for full details… both events are in town and FREE to the public, so do spread the word.

2 more weeks!!! I wish you all the best. Practicing everyday for your illusions must be really tough man!!!

I watched the other magician on youtube. It was really entertaining watching him try and do all the illusions within that short period of time. I cannot wait to see you try to beat his record. 🙂

That’s ambitious all right but being ambitious is good! How else do we excel if we don’t aim high?
