For the first time ever, GATSBY is organizing a Styling Dance Contest spanning across seven countries – Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia and Taiwan.

The competition, themed “Styling” seeks to be a platform for alternative and hip trendsetters who can creatively express themselves through dance. There are two categories – solo or group, in which the group category allows a maximum of 3 dancers a team.

Thirty teams (solo or group) will be chosen out of the participating entries to compete in the elimination rounds, in which the public is invited to vote for their favorite teams together with the judges. After which, eight teams will be selected to compete in the Singapore Finals before a winning team is decided upon to represent Singapore. The Singapore Finals will be held at Zouk in mid-January 2009.

The team representing Singapore is then sent to Japan, Tokyo to battle it out on the dance floor with their Asian counterparts, come 28 February, 2009. The overall winners at the Asia Finals will get a chance to go on an all-expense paid trip to any two of the seven participating countries to experience the different dance cultures in Asia! Other prizes include cash and GATSBY products.

Get a chance to meet internationally-acclaimed super star USA From Exile, and rub shoulders with renowned guest judges such as Japan’s top professional dance artistes: Kato, Shinji and Charisma Kantaro.

Sign up now from now to 11 December 2008, and you may be dancing yourself across Asia! For more information, please log on to:  http://www.gatsby.sg
