I’ve been pondering about this for some time now and finally decided to make the long-term commitment to be a sponsor of a young child from an underprivileged Mongolian family that’s struggling to make ends meet. Batsaikhan is a really cute 6 year old boy with rosy cheeks and yes, I’ve sort of “adopted” him 🙂
Do check out World Vision to see what you can do to offer assistance to disadvantaged children from developing nations. *sigh* I think it’s really unfair that these kids are deprived of a good, proper education just because their parents aren’t able to earn enough. 😦
Seriously, a little bit goes a long way! There are children from several countries (Asia and beyond) that would really appreciate your help. Just check out www.worldvision.org.sg to find out more.
In fact, some of the kids under their wing are also unfortunate victims of the HIV virus so they need extra care and attention too. My heart truly goes out to these children.
We’ve lived a blessed life. Don’t you think it’s time to give back a little? 🙂
